This was an acrylic study for a larger painting. Since I work in both acrylic and oil, I couldn’t decide which medium to use for the larger piece, so I painted two images of the same scene. The one you see here is acrylic and the other, Winter Vignette is oil. I ended up using oil for the larger painting, but leaned the colors toward that of this acrylic study, which were slightly more subdued and peaceful.
