Crossing Kenya with a group of birders and two top birding guides offered me the opportunity to see many species of birds that are often overlooked by other travellers. I listed more species on that one trip than I have over the course of my lifetime -- 556 to be exact!

The Reichnow's Weaver is only one of the many varieties of weaverbirds found across Kenya. I wanted to show the simple and more innocent side of Africa, rather than the struggle for survival.
