The Wood Duck is one of the most highly colored and beautiful ducks to be found anywhere. I feel blessed to be able to see them almost any time of year, on rivers and small ponds near my studio. By staying near close cover, I sit silently and observe these naturally shy ducks as the forage for food or just quietly rest.
